Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Guangdong (GDETO)
Summer Internship Program
 
 
In connection to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR, GDETO will host an in-person summer internship program this year, aiming to encourage students to experience the mainland work culture and operation of the HKSAR Government. The application deadline is 25 Apr 2022 (Mon). Eligible students may also apply for Offshore Internship Sponsorship Scheme (OISS). Maritime and Aviation
Internship Scheme
 
 
To offer young generation an opportunity to have an early exposure to the wide spectrum of career opportunities in the aviation and maritime sectors so as to encourage them to join the two sectors after graduation, the Maritime and Aviation Internship Scheme will be held this summer with intern places offered by companies from the above sectors. It is open to all non-final year full-time local undergraduates and the intern vacancies will be available by mid-April 2022. McKinsey: 2022 Next Generation Women Leaders Program
 
 
McKinsey is kicking off the 2022 Next Generation Women Leaders (NGWL) Asia-Pacific program with a two-day virtual event on 9-10 June 2022. Attendees will explore the importance of women in leadership, develop a sense of connection, and create a long-lasting community. The program will continue with workshops and informative virtual sessions throughout July. This is not only an opportunity to learn more about McKinsey and leadership skills, but also focus on personal development. Click HERE for further details and apply by 1 May 2022 (Sun).
 
ITC STEM Internship Scheme (Summer 2022)
 
 
Launched by the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) of the HKSAR Government, the STEM Internship Scheme aims to encourage STEM students to gain Innovation and Technology (I&T) related work experience and to foster their interest in pursuing a career in I&T after graduation. Full-time summer internships at a monthly allowance of $10,500 or more are now available. All full-time students enrolled in STEM-related programs on this list (restrictions applied for RPGs) are eligible. Study the guidelines HERE and find the STEM internship opportunities HERE now!

3. Further Studies and Scholarships
French Consulate: Alexandre Yersin Excellence Scholarship
 
Alexandre Yersin Excellence Scholarship is an annual French Government scholarship program to support students in Hong Kong and Macau to pursue further studies at the Master’s level in France. The scholarship covers one year of studies and training in a Master 1 or Master 2 (grant period cannot exceed 2 years). Benefits include financial support to cover tuition fees, a living allowance, social welfare, public liability and repatriation insurance, accommodation assistance and a social and cultural activities guide to help students settle in France.

4. Career Consultations
In Spring, Career Center continues to offer career consultation sessions. Due to evolving COVID situation, all consultation sessions will be in virtual format (via Zoom) and walk-in consultation sessions are resumed! You can make appointments 2 weeks in advance with our Career Advisors via Career Center's website. Just in case the scheduled sessions are full, you are welcome to email either of our “advisor of the week” to make an appointment directly. Meet us to discuss anything about career exploration, job and internship search, CV review, interview preparation, and further studies!
