Be Our Corporate Partner (CP)
Home / /

By becoming a CP in the Co-op Program and/or Winter Internship Program, employers would be provided with nominations of students who are interested in working at your company. HKUST will conduct resume screening and nominations based on pre-selected preferences from CPs. After receiving the nominations, CPs can select and interview any students on the list and make a Co-op or internship offer to any student on the list. There is no obligation for the CPs to make any co-op or internship offer if no student is deemed suited for the role.

This is a great way for our CPs to bring in young talents and grow their business and talent pool. In addition, corporate logos of our CPs will be featured in our publications, display units on campus and our online platforms, which would further enhance corporate branding on campus and increase brand awareness within the student community.

If you are interested in becoming our corporate partner, please send us an email to coop@ust.hk to explore further.

  • Co-op Program

HKUST Career Center is launching a pilot for a university-wide Co-op Program. This program aims to enhance prospective graduates’ industrial experience before graduation while providing a pipeline of talents for employers in the region.

The co-op period typically occurs in either the Fall semester (e.g. September to December/January of the following year) or the Spring semester (e.g. January/February to June), lasting at least 4 months. Students are expected to work full-time during co-op and are generally expected to take leave of absence from academic studies during the Co-op period. Employers are advised to offer a competitive salary at market levels during the co-op term. Pay levels should at least meet the minimum wage ordinance (MWO) in Hong Kong.

Students would obtain elective credits in the academic term AFTER they completed the co-op or during the term they are doing the co-op. Some co-op assignments might be eligible to fulfil requirements for final year projects (FYP), industrial training, and capstone projects. If you are interested to explore co-op opportunities at your firm, please complete the Interest Form and we will contact you to discuss further.
